Chiropractic

The ideology of chiropractic adjustment centers around the theory that by ensuring the vertebrae and other bony structures are moving freely, the entire nervous system’s health can be maintained. The veterinarians at Equine Performax frequently utilize chiropractic treatments in conjunction with traditional lameness exams. Chiropractic adjustments can be used both as a preventative or therapeutic option for your horse.

Evaluations

Lameness Evaluations are a main focal point of our practice here at Equine Performax. By utilizing a combination of clinical skills and diagnostic imaging, we strive to provide our clients with a definitive diagnosis for each lameness work-up. We also offer Pre-purchase examinations to evaluate your horse before you purchase it.

Regenerative Therapies

After an equine athlete is injured, the veterinarians at Equine Performax frequently employ a combination of treatment options, including regenerative therapies. This category includes stem cells, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), and Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein (IRAP).

Surgeries

The facilities at Equine Performax allow for a controlled and safe induction in a padded room with full inhalation anesthesia that is administered by a trained veterinary technician during the procedure. Our surgical options include: neurectomy (nerving), castrations including cryptorchids, umbilical hernia repair, cribbing surgery and enucleation (eye removal).
